Complete Game Play Rules

Pitching: A starter can pitch up to 5 innings, and can only be put in at the beginning of the game. A reliever can not pitch more than 1 inning, and cannot pitch before the fourth. If a pitcher rolls a number in which a batter does not get a chance to hit, it is a strikeout. To find if a pitcher is a starter or not, divide the number of innings pitched by the number of games played. If the number is 4 or greater, then the pitcher is a starter. If the number is 3 or less, then the pitcher is a reliever. If a pitcher is to come out of the game then they are not allowed to be re-entered into the game unless rules say otherwise (see Gameplay).

ERA: If a pitcher has an ERA of 1.99 or below, and the dice rolls a 1 or 2, then the batter has a chance for a hit. If a pitcher has an ERA of 2.00 to 2.99, and the dice rolls a 1, is 2, or 3, then the batter has a chance for a hit. If a pitcher has an ERA of 3.00 to 3.99 and rolls a 1, 2, 3, or 4, then the batter has a chance for a hit. If a pitcher has an ERA of 4.00 to 4.99, and rolls a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then the batter has a chance for a hit. If a pitcher has an ERA of 5.00 or higher, and rolls a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, then the batter has a chance for a hit.

Strikeouts: If a pitcher has more strikeouts than innings pitched, then the highest number for the pitcher is removed.

Batting: A batter can roll if they have a chance to hit. You have nine batters that have to be presented in a lineup before the game. No player can play two positions, and no two players can play the same position. The position stated on the card is the player’s position. If it shows two positions, the player can play either one.

Batting Average: If a batter has a batting average of .199 or below, and he rolls a 1 or 2, the batter can roll to decide the hit. If a batter has a batting averange of .200 to .299 and rolls a 1, 2, or 3, the batter can roll to decide the hit. If a batter has a batting average of .300 to .399 and rolls a 1, 2, 3, or 4, the batter can roll to decide a hit. If a batter has an average of .400 or higher, and rolls a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then the batter can roll to decide the hit.

Slugging Percentage: If a batter has a slugging percentage of 299 or lower, and rolls dice that add up to a 2, then it is a home run. If he rolls dice that add up to 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 then he hits a single. If he rolls dice that add up to 3, or 11, then he hits a double. If he rolls diced that add up to a 12, he hits a triple. If a batter has a slugging percentage of 300 to 399, and rolls dice that add up to a 2, then it is a home run. If he rolls dice that add up to a 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, then he hits a single. If he rolls dice that add up to 3, 4, 10, or 11,  then he hits a double. If he rolls dice that add up to 12, he hits a triple. If a batter has a slugging percentage of 400 to 499, and rolls dice that add up to 2 or 12, then he hits a home run. If he rolls dice that add up to 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, then he hits a single. If he rolls dice that add up to 3, 4, or 10, then he hits a double. If he rolls   dice that adds up to 11, then he hits a triple. If a batter has a slugging percentage of 500 to 599, and rolls dice that add up to 2, or 12, he hits a home run. If he rolls dice that add up to 5, 6, 7, or 8, he hits a single. If he rolls dice that add up to 3, 4, 9, or 10, then he hits a double. If he rolls dice that add up to 11, then he hits a triple. If a batter has a slugging percentage 600 or higher, and rolls dice that add  up to 2, 11, or 12, he hits a home run. If he rolls dice that add up to 5, 6, 7, or 8, then he hits a single. If he rolls dice that add up to 3, 4, or 9, then he hits a double. If he rolls dice that add up to 10, then he hits a triple.

Baserunning: A base runner advances the amount of bases hit by a batter (i.e. runner on second, batter hits, single, runner advances to third).

Gameplay: A batter will always bat in a batting order. When one batter bats, the next batter will bat. This process will be rotated throughout the lineup. Games last nine innings. Each team gets three outs per innings. If a batter does not get a hit, then it is considered an out. Before the game, both players should roll a dice. The player with the higher number will be home. The other will be away. The home player will bat 2nd and pitch 1st. Every time a player advances four bases, a run will score. If the home team is winning after the first half of the ninth inning, then they do not need to bat during the second half of the ninth. The team with the most runs after nine innings will win the game. If the game is tied after the ninth inning, then extra innings are required. In extra innings a runner will begin on second base at the start of each inning. The home team always has a chance to bat in extra innings. The game will proceed infinitely until a team is leading at the end of a full inning. If a team runs out of relief pitchers, then each used relief pitcher is allowed 1 more inning.

Rolling: When a pitcher is rolling, they use one die. When a batter is rolling for a hit, they use one die. When a batter is rolling to decide the (type of) hit, they use two dice.

R/L Matchups: If a pitcher and a batter do not have the same pitching hand and batting hand, then the batter is awarded the next highest pitching number available (i.e. 1, 2, 3, the batter has a chance for a hit, but they have a reverse matchup, so the batter has 1, 2, 3, or 4, for a hit).

Roster: You are only allowed to have 26 players on your roster. No more or less. 5 starting pitchers allowed. A minimum of 6 bullpen arms. A minimum of 9 batters.

Pinch Hitting: You are allowed to pinch hit players on your bench for ones in the lineup. The bench player must be the same position as the one they are pinch hitting for. Players that are being pinch hit for are not allowed to return into the game.
